About us

CISLR is a non-profit international network of researchers with expertise in higher education financing, student loan design, the economics of education, and applied econometrics. We aim to help improve higher education financing worldwide through policy engagement and consultation, and high quality, independent research.

Policy impacts

We engage with governments and local institutions through both direct policy discussions and country-specific research to help reform student loans design and improve the state of higher education financing. Countries that CISLR members have actively engaged with include Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, the UK, the US, and Vietnam.
